0:00–0:02.5 — Something Blocks the Trail Frontal tracking shot. The young archer walks carefully through waist-high ferns, her gray cat padding beside her. Suddenly the cat stops dead and arches its back. She immediately freezes.

0:02.5–0:05 — The Warning Low close-up. A thin cord stretches across the forest path just above the leaves. Tiny carved bone charms hang from it. The cat's nose is only centimeters away.

0:05–0:07.5 — Don't Touch It She crouches and gently pushes the curious cat backward with one finger against its forehead. She whispers: “No.” The offended cat slowly pushes its head forward against her finger.

0:07.5–0:10 — A Strange Gatekeeper She looks upward. Camera tilts with her gaze to reveal an enormous old tree beside the path. Nailed into its trunk is a crude wooden mask with an open mouth.

0:10–0:12.5 — The Toll Bowl Close-up beneath the mask: a shallow wooden bowl contains feathers, berries, carved beads and several small animal bones. She realizes travelers have been leaving offerings.

0:12.5–0:15 — Her Offering She searches her belt pouch, finds nothing useful, then reluctantly removes one dried berry from a small food bundle and drops it into the bowl.

0:15–0:17.5 — Rejected The berry immediately rolls through a hole in the rotten bowl and lands on the ground. The cat instantly eats it.

0:17.5–0:20 — Awkward Silence Medium shot. The girl stares at the cat. The cat calmly licks its lips. She glances back at the ominous wooden mask as though hoping it did not notice.

0:20–0:22.5 — The Cat Pays Instead The cat suddenly trots to the bowl, jumps onto a root and drops something from its mouth inside: a large shiny beetle.

0:22.5–0:25 — Accepted The beetle crawls around inside the bowl. A concealed counterweight shifts under its weight—CLICK. The cord across the trail drops harmlessly to the ground.

0:25–0:27.5 — She Understands The archer slowly looks from the lowered cord… to the cat. The cat steps over the cord proudly, tail straight up.

0:27.5–0:30 — Final Shot Wide rear shot. She follows the cat deeper into the enormous misty forest. As they disappear between the trees, she mutters: “Fine. You lead.” The cat never looks back.
